Privacy Policy

RingStock is made by H&R Ventures LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information RingStock handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because there isn't much to say: RingStock exists to store your livestock records for you, and we don't do anything else with them.

What RingStock stores

• Your account. An email address and a password (stored hashed, never readable by us). Nothing else is required to create an account.
• Your herd records. Whatever you enter: animals, tags, photos, weights, feed schedules, shows, health records, contacts and buyers, expenses and income, calendar entries, and record-book details such as a member name, club, and county. These belong to you.
• Sharing. If you invite someone to your herd, we store their email address so the invitation can be matched to their account.
• Device settings. Preferences such as your opening screen are kept on the device, not on our servers.

Without an account, the phone app keeps everything on the phone and sends nothing to us.

What we don't do

• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. There are no ads in RingStock.
• We don't use your records for anything other than showing them back to you and the people you invite.
• We don't track you across other apps or websites.

Who we rely on

Your cloud data is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in, and photo storage), hosted in the United States and protected by row-level security so that only your account and the people you invite can read your rows. The apps are distributed through Apple's App Store and TestFlight, Google Play, and our own website. If you choose to connect an Airtable base, RingStock copies your records into that base using a token you provide; that data is then also governed by Airtable's terms. We don't use analytics or advertising services.

Reminders and notifications

Health, follow-up, and show reminders are scheduled on your phone by the app. They are not sent through our servers.

Children

Many RingStock users are 4-H and FFA members. A RingStock account must be created by someone 13 or older; a parent or guardian should create the account for a younger member and can share the herd with them from Herd sharing. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• Export. At any time, export your herd as a spreadsheet, a full backup file, or any report as PDF, Word, or Excel.
• Correct. Every record can be edited in the app.
• Delete. Delete your account from Settings in the browser or Windows app, or by following these steps. Deleting removes your account, every herd you own, and your photos from our servers. Herds you were invited to are unaffected.
• Leave a shared herd. Members can leave a herd at any time; owners can remove members.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections. Passwords are hashed. Photos are stored in a private bucket and served through short-lived signed links. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password and keep a backup file if your records matter to you (they do).

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and say so in the app or by email.
